Divisions

The Manor Police structure. You join Response after passing your PC test; specialist commands are RPU, CID, and ARU.

Response

Frontline response. You deploy here when you pass your PC test and become a full Police Constable. Response officers attend incidents, conduct patrols, and provide immediate response to emergency calls. Base for all officers before specialising.

RPU (Roads Policing Unit)

Roads and traffic policing. RPU deal with traffic offences, collisions, pursuits, and road safety. Requires response experience and relevant driver training (IPP, Advanced, TPAC as applicable).

CID (Criminal Investigation Department)

Criminal investigation. CID conduct evidence-led investigations, surveillance, intelligence gathering, and build case files. They work with Response and ARU but focus on investigation and prosecution rather than immediate response. CID do not carry firearms.

ARU (Armed Response Unit)

Armed and tactical response. ARU deal with firearms incidents, weapons, hostage situations, and high-risk operations. Gold Command sits at force level (Chief Constable, Deputy Chief Constable, Assistant Chief Constable). ARU command structure:
